The 19-year old towering reinforcement is still unstoppable as ever.
Bright Akhuetie shined anew as he led University of Perpetual Help System-Dalta in succumbing Jose Rizal University, 58-50, on Friday in the NCAA Season 92 Men’s Basketball Division at the FilOil Flying V Arena, San Juan.
Akhuetie, who missed the opening ceremony and Perpetual Help’s first game this Season 92 due to a knee injury, played as if nothing has happened and lashed a team-high of 19 points for the Altas.
It was business as usual for Akhuetie as he made noise once again on court and powered the formerly Aric del Rosario-mentored Altas with his strong boards which helped the team clinch second chance rings.
As unstoppable as he really is on the shaded lane since Season 91, Bright Akhuetie unveiled instant six points to close the first victory for the Las Pinas-based dribblers.
Alongside the Nigerian import, Gerald Dizon had 12 points, while Gabriel Dagangon added 10 for the Perpetual Help Altas.
On the other hand, the JRU Heavy Bombers endured their second-straight loss despite Tey Teodoro’s 24 markers.
