Lyceum of the Philippines University went to Jesper Ayaay in the dying seconds of the joust as it shocked defending champion Letran Knights, 68-66, to open the Second Round of Eliminations on Thursday, at the FilOil Flying V Arena, San Juna.

The win even boosted the Pirates’ Final Four bid in the NCAA Season 92 Men’s Basketball Division.

With the game knotted at 66-all, Jesper Ayaay drove past everyone, then witnessed McJour Luib misfired on a triple as the Pirates jumped into a three-way logjam on the fifth seed with the Knights and the Heavy Bombers.

On the other hand, Coach Jeff Napa’s wards fell to their fifth loss in ten games.
