Arellano University outlasted Emilio Aguinaldo College in the fourth quarter as it pulled off an 83-74 win on Thursday, to seize a share of the lead with San Beda in the NCAA Season 92 Men’s Basketball Division at the FilOil Flying V Arena, San Juan.

Jiovani Jalalon toyed with a triple-double effort before winding up with 21 points, eight caroms, and nine assists.

In addition, rookie standout Lervin Flores had 10 points and 10 rebounds, as the Chiefs claimed their seventh win in row, and 10th overall in 12 games to tie the Red Lions at first place.

“It feels good to be on top for the first time this year”, said Arellano U coach Jerry Codinera.

Meanwhile, the EAC Generals fell to their 3-9 win-loss slate.
