Lyceum of the Philippines University overcame Perpetual Help, 64-61, on Tuesday in the NCAA Season 92 Men’s Basketball Division at the FilOil Flying V Arena, San Juan.
Despite being ousted of the Final Four contention, the Pirates still showed that they are not the underdogs who get beat up easily, and tallied theit 6-11 win-loss record.
On the other hand, it was a sorry defeat for the Altas, who succumbed to their 11-5 win-loss slate, and was denied an opportunity to join the idle San Beda Red Lions (12-4) at No. 2.
Although they’re already out of contention, Lyceum Coach Topex Robinson said they are preparing for the future.
“It’s the start for the next season for us already. Pretty much the reason why the games still have bearing for us”, said Robinson.
